I belong to the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn. After graduating with upper honours in economics from University College, London, I read law as a postgraduate student and was called to the bar of England and Wales in 1985. Thereafter, I was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court in Singapore, and commenced legal practice in 1987 in Singapore, focusing on conveyancing and property-related litigation. In 1991, I was also enrolled as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory.
Upon moving to New Zealand in 2002, I spent some time working in publishing before returning to the practice of law full-time in 2007, focusing primarily on family law matters, with extensive experience appearing in the Family Court.
Outside of work, I have a keen interest in fly-fishing and blues guitar, and am an honorary life member of the Auckland Fly Anglers Club.
I have represented a wide cross-section of clients from New Zealand and other Asian backgrounds and look forward to getting to know you.
